  7. This software adds/replaces many new graphic formats in PageStream
  8. V3.x/4.x. It does not only  add  formats,  it also improves already
  9. supported formats by loading images MUCH faster. Note this solution
  10. is not based on a PageStream Script. It's a real PageStream filter.

  12. All   formats  are  part  of  'Studio's  Universal'  filter.
  13. The Universal filter supports:
  14.  
  15.       BMP:  1,  4, 8, 16 and 24 Bit, Windows V3 and OS/2 format,
  16.             RLE4, 8, 24 compression
  17. DataTypes:  OS 3.0 DataTypes
  18.       DCX:  only the first image is printed
  19.       GIF:  supports 87a and 89 format
  20.  IFF ILBM:  including HAM, HAM8, EHB,...
  21.  IFF DEEP:  24 Bit RGB and RGBA, supports compression
  22.      JPEG:  8 Bit and 24 Bit JFIF, progressive JPEG
  23.       PCX:  1,2,4,8 and 24 Bit images
  24.       PGM:  8-bit
  25.       PNG:  incl. interlaced
  26.       PPM:  24-bit
  27.     Targa:  supports all known RGB, RGBA types incl. compression
  28.      TIFF:  1-64 Bit, RGB, RGBA, CMYK, YCbCr with None, PackBits,
  29.             RLE, JPEG, G3, G4, LZW and Next compression, Strips
  30.             or Tiles, Packed or separate color

  32. The  'Universal'  filter  allows  reading  many image formats with
  33. PageStream V3/V4  wich  are not originaly supported by PageStream.
  34. It  also allows formats like IFF ILBM and others to be loaded much
  35. faster.   For instance, 200-300% average speed increase for 24 Bit
  36. ILBM images.

  38. The  filter  is  FREE  to all owners of the CanonStudio and Studio
  39. printer  software.   The  software requires PageStream V3.1-3.4,
  40. V4.0 or newer.

  44. is  a  commercial software sold by many dealers.  For a small list
